Ezekiel Bread & A Big Bowl of Protein

 Hi there!

Long time, no see. Sorry. Life gets in the way of my blogging sometimes. But here we go with today's eats!

Breakfast was two slices of Organic Cinnamon Raisin Ezekiel Bread topped with Wild Squirrel Chocolate Sunflower Seed Almond Butter and Pretzel Pizzaz Peanut Butter, with a few apple slices.

I grabbed a loaf of Ezekiel bread at our recently opened TRADER JOE'S (!!!) and I am in love! Ezekiel breads are flourless and sprouted, creating a live grain and significantly enhances the nutrients that each slice provides. The texture is a little bit chewier than regular bread, but still amazing. I'll be keeping this bread on my grocery list going forward, for sure!

Lunch was spaghetti squash (I may have eaten half of the whole squash...oops), topped with a homemade turkey patty that I baked earlier in the week and froze. Super yum and filling!

Stuffed to the max with a side salad.

After all work and no play, I came home to clean the house and cook dinner. Call me crazy, but straightening up the house and cooking dinner is my "me" time every afternoon.

I kind of love it :)

I sauteed 1 lb organic grass-fed ground beef, chopped onion, sliced bell pepper, frozen broccoli, roasted sweet potatoes, corn, black beans, kidney beans, and quinoa. Seasoned with Celtic sea salt, fresh ground pepper, cumin, and chili powder. A few drops of Sriracha were added at the end. Organic, spicy, and delicious!

This also made a GIANT batch! Looking forward to leftovers!

And look what is for dessert...eventually! We are getting a Nothing Bundt Cakes next door to our brand new Trader Joes!!! SO looking forward to loading up on heathly, organic eats and then walking next door for bundt cakes :)

Have a wonderful night!

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Before we get to my Saturday happenings/eats, I have a big announcement! As of last Saturday, Hungry & Co. is officially selling Hungry Bars at Hubbell & Hudson Market and Bistro in The Woodlands, TX!

My sweet friend, Laura, helped me with my demo last weekend and I must say...we were a hit! Samples were flying off the table!

I am sure that it had nothing to do with the fact that a Jimmy Buffet concert was going on around the corner. The munchies were in full swing for a few super chill (but way fun) concert attendees that decided to stop by :)

Ok, that is all. If you are local, stop by H&H and grab some Hungry Bars! If not, you can order online at www.hungryandco.com!

Now on to Saturday happenings and eats. Mine began at 7:00AM with a small bowl of Puffins before my 8AM BodyPump class. Class was hard, but I was able to finally get back up to 50lbs for the squat track! Making progress.

After class, the Mr. and I went to our local park to throw a rubber donut and watch Nova get distracted by grass play fetch with Nova, then it was time for breakfast #2! Great Harvest Cinnamon Raisin Walnut topped with Wild Squirrel Pretzel Pizzaz, apple slices, and coffee.

I proceeded to snack the day away, so I never had a real lunch. Snacks included berries, hard boiled eggs (topped with sea salt and peppa), and a few handfuls of pita chips dipped in hummus.

I later made my hard-boiled's into deviled's. Light mayo, dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and paprika!

 Mmmmmm, I LOVE deviled eggs.

Before I knew it, it was 6:30 PM and I was preparing dinner! Roasted sweet potatoes, organic chicken breast, and salad. Healthy and FILLING!

 Oh, and more eggs.

Now I'm totally negating my healthy dinner by devouring an ice cream sandwich. Oops.

Are you a fellow deviled egg lover or does the sight of them make you want to run fau fau away? I hated them FOREVER because they smelled like death, but I finally tried one and now I am obsessed. Mmmhmm.

Time to park myself on the couch and snuggle with my boys.

Have a fantastic night! You are loved!

Healthy Hamburger Helper & National Donut Day

Happy Friday! Praise the Lord it is Friday. What a WEEK! I felt the need to celebrate by starting this post with some cuteness overload. This is my Nova...just 25 shades lighter.

The Mr. and I have been a little occupied this last week with MOVING, cooking, work, unpacking, and more MOVING! Nothing strengthens a marriage like moving into a new house together :)

Actually the Mr. moved us while I was promoting Hungry & Co's Hungry Bars at Hubbell & Hudson all day.

What a man.

We decided to move into a new house in the same city, so no big news or anything, just new digs. And I must say that I am LOVING our new place! Pics to come!

Ok, on to breakfast. Here is a nice little roll of my recent breakfast rotation:

Great Harvest Cinnamon Raisin Walnut, toasted and topped with Justin's Vanilla Almond Butter and banana. Nom.

Overnight oats in an almost empty almond butter jar. Omnom.

And yes...DONUTS! Omnomfreakinnom

I did my due diligence on National Donut Day and brought 18 donuts to work with me. They were shared between all whopping 5 of us who where there that day. It was pretty glorious. I may have consumed a few.
Wait...a few means 2.
Hmmm, I can't use that word then, but "numerous" sounds like 80.
Let's go with "a questionable amount" and leave it at that.

And THEN I made a healthified "Hamburger Helper", the Cheeseburger flavor.

You know you miss it.

I definitely miss it, but it usually makes me want to lay in the middle of the highway wearing black during rush hour after eating a bowlful, so I decided to use Central Market's organic mac & cheese, organic ground turkey, taco seasoning, and chicken broth instead. Add veggies for some green and waalaa! Healthified Hamburger Helper!

This was actually eaten in bed. Total comfort.
Yay weekend! I hope you have the best one EVER! Mine is going to include BodyPump, sitting on the couch, Spin, laying on the couch, grocery shopping, and eating vegetables and then ice cream...on the couch. Goodnight!
