fonuts

DONUTS.

I seriously wish that I was a fly on the wall when the donut creation conversation went down.

"We are going to make a ring out of dough! And then fry it! And then top it with sugar! And sell them to humans and tell them to eat it first thing in the morning!"

Clearly it went over well.

I'm not complaining. I LOVE donuts.


A strawberry sprinkle donut CALLS MY NAME from time to time.


And I can't even talk about National Donut Day. 

I am so that person who shows up to work with this boxful of fried gems.

I get my fair share of dirty looks from the lady's in my office on that day, too. 

Worth it.


But frying things is kind of like putting money in a birthday card. 

It always makes it better, no matter how much it is.

So what about baked donuts...or "fonuts"?


I have eaten my fair share of baked donuts since receiving a donut pan for my birthday last year, and you know what? 

Fonuts are just as delicious as donuts. Maybe better. Definitely better for you. Fo sho.


These are my Banana Donuts with Peanut Butter Glaze. 

Mmmmm, I must make these again asap.

And SPEAKING of round doughy breakfast rings, I found a recipe for homemade pumpkin bagels that literally made me bust out into a full on dance party at work today. I am so making these for the holidays. 

Homemade pumpkin bagel with Nutella, anyone? 

I hope not. 

I want them all for myself :)
