I have eaten quite a few meals that make me throw a dance party right then and there.
I have some serious moves. Back.up.
However, there are only a few meals that push me beyond my normal, fantastic dance moves to a land of pure, taste bud bliss. Most of the time, this happens at breakfast.
I am going to cover my ALL TIME favorite breakfasts across Texas, and you should probably take note...and keep that note in your pocket...unless you've gotta pocket gotta pocket full of sunshine.
BREAKFAST! My favorite meal of the day.
BREAKFAST #1: The vegan cinnamon roll at Crooked Tree Coffee House in Dallas, TX.
If this is what vegan tastes like, sign.me.up.
Oh, and grab a Toffee Nut Latte while you're there. You are welcome.
BREAKFAST #2: The blueberry pancakes at Lola in Houston, TX. These are seriously the fluffiest, butteriest, most decadent pancakes on the planet. With bacon? Winning.
OHHohhh, hello there cinnamon roll #2! :)
BREAKFAST #3: The cinnamon roll at SIP in San Antonio, TX. Copious amounts of icing, cinnamon, and brown sugar all rolled together in one big, doughy, warm experience. It is a must.
BREAKFAST #4: The breakfast sandwich at Kirby Lane Cafe in Austin, TX. I'm not a big "breakfast sandwich" person, but this...thing...is complete bliss. Hearty AM goodness.
Oh, and it comes with a pile of fried potatoes that do not disappoint. Yum.
Kirby Lane is also famous for their pumpkin pancakes, which are equally insane.
OK, I cannot do a post titled "Breakfast Across Texas" without talking about doughnuts, and my favorite place for these delectable fried rings is Shipleys.
Ever since I was a kid, I have been indulging in their frosted, sprinkled (SPRINKS!!!!) doughnuts.
BREAKFAST #5: My favorite nostalgic treat...sprinkled doughnuts from Shipley's.
And last, but certainly not least, is...
BREAKFAST #6: The Banana Walnut bagel from Brooklyn Cafe in The Woodlands, TX.
These bagels are big, doughy, and super flavorful. By far my favorite bagel, and when topped with Justin's Maple Almond Butter??? NOM.
They also carry a Cinnamon Raisin Walnut cream cheese that is so delicious...in case you forget your jar of Justin's.
That's the line-up! If you are ever in Texas, you officially no longer have an excuse to stop for a McGriddle in place of a legitimately good breakfast.
Eat well, live well, dance as much as possible, sing really loud, smile often, and don't let the day pass without asking for forgiveness and showing people how much you love them!!!
Have a fantastic Saturday! You are loved!
