Party Weekend

You know how sometimes you go 3 months without having any sort of party-related activity, and then the weekend comes when every person you hold dear to your heart decides to have a celebration? I sincerely hate missing birthday parties, showers, etc, and this weekend was packed with fun events, only a few of which I was able to attend.

Friday began with a ROCKIN batch of overnight oats in an almost empty Chia Charger jar: 1 container vanilla Chobani, 1/3 cup almond milk, 1/3 cup oats, cinnamon, and spoonfuls of chia-packed nut butter.

I'll never get tired of this breakfast. Love.

I debited and credited the day away, refueling at lunch time with a sandwich, apple slices, and a few Kit Kat bites.

My co-worker's husband works for Mars, so she is constantly bringing Mars brand goodies to the office.

It would take the willpower of Posh Spice for me to pass up on an Almond Joy, Kit Kat, or Peanut M&Ms. Just can't do it!

Mars seriously got the longer end of the stick in product choices as opposed to other companies. I mean, do I like the fact that my favorite candy company also produces cookies for my DOG? Not sure. But nevertheless, I still love me a Snickers from hour to hour time to time.

The weekend of parties kicked off on Friday night at my mom's house. She hosted a Premier Designs party for one of her neighbors, and taco salads were on the menu!

I never order taco salads at mexican restaurants...ever. Fajitas or fish tacos are my mains. But after inhaling this plate of lettuce, ground turkey taco meat, black beans, jalapenos, tomatoes, sour cream, guac, cheese, and salsa, I realized that I either really do love taco salads and need to make them more often OR everything just tastes better when mom makes it.

I think it's both.

Mom needs to make me more taco salads.

Mystery = Solved

She also made these cutie patootie mini Oreo pops!

 SPRINKS!

Let's not play, you could put sprinkles on a race car and I would probably try to take a bite, but these were exceptionally good.

Oreos, white chocolate, sprinks, done.

So fun.

I was also pretty impressed with the jewelry items that Premier Designs offers and went with this simple pair of diamond earrings.

As you can see, I have always had excellent taste in clothing and accessories (I'm the hot one with the 3 bows and flower suspenders...in case you needed direction) so I think my mom was proud when I went with a more subtle jewlery choice :)

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and made your parents proud and ate a Snickers and exercised your God-given right to live FREELY!!! Woohoo!

More parties to recap tomorrow! Stay tuned!
