Must Make Mondays & A Cry Baby

Happy Monday, lovely people! It's Must Make Monday again, and look what I FOUND!

Then eat this Superfood Salad for lunch! How amazing is this? I'm in love.


Here are my eats for today. Nothing outstanding, but still very delicious.

Working backwards, dinner was a bowl of leftovers: brown rice pasta, chicken sausage, organic spaghetti sauce, veggies, and a big 'ole dollop of greek yogurt on top.


The yogurt ALWAYS makes the dish :)


Lunch was a last minute jumble of green beans, lean ground turkey, black beans, bell peppers, onions, brown rice, and a few spicy drops of sriracha at my desk at work. Not bad, not bad.


I spent some time at the gym this morning, on the elliptical while finishing off the LAST Hunger Games book (excellent series!!!), then headed to work. 

Breakfast at my desk consisted of plain oats, cooked and topped with a spoonful of Biscoff.

So here comes the "cry baby" portion of this post:

You all know that my groin injury has kept me from doing marathons, and all running in general, for the past month. It's an injury that prevents me from anything that causes strain to my left inner thigh. Well, tonight during my bikram class, I practically ripped my right hamstring in half while in "hands to feet" pose...

I have finally been able to get into this posture my last 4 classes, and tonight felt no different. My hammies were definitely in an intense stretch, but nothing painful...and then all of the sudden I felt this sharp pain run up the back of my right hamstring. Awesome. The rest of the class, I could barely straighten out my leg in front of me while sitting down. I was SO FRUSTRATED. During the last savasana, I just laid there in the dark room and cried. Pathetic. I am so unbelievably frustrated with my body right now and don't understand why it won't cooperate and just let me RUN! 

Ugh. Back to the drawing board. 

My plans are to just continue to pull back and not do anything that aggravates my groin or hamstring. This too shall pass!

Hope you all had a marvelous Monday! Mine was pretty good, despise my cryfest. At least it was hot yoga, so my tears just looked like sweat, right?? :)
